I don't really know where things went wrong for Jeff and I really like him as a person but our team is just about Stallings pathetic right now. We need a fresh voice and approach. I'm actually disappointed; I really wanted Capel to work out but tonight is kind of solidifying it for me. I have tried not to be that guy or overreact but we will continue to leak talent because we have a losing culture here. Our fall from prominence is book worthy bad.

He has chosen the wrong profession. The world is full of guys that fancy themselves coaches, some like JC were really good players as well, and they love the game but they do not have it. I see it all the time on the HS level, it is on the collegiate level as well but it can be hidden for a lot of reasons. For example, if an assistant loves the game and "time" spent on is not like a job at all, he can be very valuable to the head coach but is good only when the HC over sees or directs his work. JC has played and coached for years in one of the top programs in the country but has now failed twice. Whatever skill set it takes to run/build a program he does not have, the problem is there is no way to convey the message to him without his pride tanking, even though lack of skill in any area of life is NOT a character flaw, per se.
