Pitt has a strategy that is basically looked down upon when it comes time for the polls to rank teams and such. They are nowhere near the type of team that will throw the ball all over the field with the QB throwing for 500 yards with 7 TD and 4 INT. They run high percentage routes, Peterman reads the defense well, and he usually for the most part make a smart decision with his throws. This is why Pitt will rarely blow a team out of the water, but they will not be upset by lesser teams very often either. Very similar to how Chryst used Tino his senior year, except Peterman is much better and he also does not choke in big moments, he seems to thrive.
