It appears that Pitt is still in the top 3 for Jamal Smith... like he said last month [link]. Smith said he would be committing July 21st but that came and went. Top 3 were Pitt Georgia and USF. Now it looks like he might commit August 21st. Scout free article has Pitt and Oregon State as his top two schools [link].
So Pitt has been in his top group from the start. If he does stick to his commitment... could probably be Pitt. But he is already stating he would be a soft verbal as he has never visited Pitt or Oregon State. I'd like to grab this kid. Gilbert and Smith would be a great way to rebuild the defensive end position.
