James Conner Beats Cancer

It's so nice to hear a success with a kid beating cancer. All too often we hear only the ones who don't do so well.
God Bless James, I hope you have a fantastic year!

Mr. Conner could have given up, but as he said with his Family, Friends, Teammates & Pitt behind him, James chose to fight. James refused to allow Cancer to beat his mind, body, and spirit, he beat Cancer.

James chose to have faith in that his confidence is tougher than any gloom and doom actuality. James elected to overcome the travail and worked hard to make all the right choices by a display of living his life, studies, and work on the Gridiron as an example not victim-hood.

Cancer can defeat medicine but it could not defeat Pitt’s James Conner’s life-force of defeating cancer and is just the start of a stunning inspirational life that will go beyond anyone’s imagination becoming echoes of eternity in Pitt Football History.

PITT IS JAMES AND JAMES MAKES PITT IS IT!

just instagrammed he is cancer free. Congrats James Best news ever, now beat penn state
You got that right, but don't stop at Penn State.......I kind of feel sorry for those playing Pitt this year, because playing and winning against King James, is nothing compared how he just beat Cancer, True Legends make great things happen to everyone around them, and I think Pitt Fans are in for a very special season, Just a Hunch and not a Prayer, because no Prays are needed anymore, so......JUST A HUNCH!

Great news! It is unreal how he has handled himself through this situation.

When he is ready to play, I pity the first person who tries to tackle him.

Guy was all class before this and all class after this - that impresses me the most.
A true gentleman.
I hope he scores a 100 touchdowns but if he decided to drop out of football I'd have no problem with that. He's already been an inspiration and role model for all of us.

Hail to Pitt JC!

Thank you, I got the Goose Bumps as well when I read the Post Thread. All Pitt Fans have been fortunate to see the Words of James less than a year ago when he thanked coming to Pitt but James's Deeds were already appreciated and James's Best Deeds are continuing for years to come.

Pitt Fans all have a thankful tear right now and proud with goosebumps and all of College Football. I can't wait to see James run with the ball again and it will tougher to cheer as all yell with lumps in throats of joy. Wow!

I don't live in Pittsburgh, how has the local media responded to the? I imagine it must be huge news, on par with lemieux since conner is so young.

We fans and this university are so fortunate to have such an incredible person as part of the Pitt community and football team. They say the Lord works in mysterious ways. One might even wonder if a small part of his plan for James was to see him emerge as an even bigger force on and off the field... an invincible superhero of sorts who inspires others to be better and even possibly leads this season's more complete team to a Big East title.
