James Conner...

JC ran tough today, but I still thought the coaches left him in a few times when he should have come out and gotten a breather. Like after he caught the nice pass about like a 20 yard gain.

I was wondering what our coaches are looking at -- James looked gassed and was even looking to the sideline like he expected a sub, but then he's carrying the ball again... Puzzling to me.

Go Pitt.

I was thinking the same thing. After the big gain, I think we only went backwards and got a FG ( I believe this was it ).

Beast Mode but this was a case of mismanagement. Run Aston at least twice in that situation.

What an incredible person.

Today imo we started to see glimpses of James of the past.
He's not back yet but it looked like he was turning the corner.
The burst and the power showed up more noticeable today it seemed.
Good time for the week off; Hopefully better games ahead.

He is the man.

Looks like James is starting to look like James Conner circa 2014. Looked great today.
Speaking of Conner, does any besides the color guy on the Bojangles-Mellow Mushroom Television network refer to him as the "terminator"?

I dont think the line is road grading good enough this year so its not all his fault. Its more of a perimeter running "eye candy" type of offense. Bronco Mendenhall compared it to preparing for the wishbone. That's ok but when you run an offense reliant on perimeter stuff, you dont have enough time to focus on road grading.

Every now and again other ACC guys do. For those who may not know it's a reference to the movie even though the kid's name was John not James.

First maybe second time I agreed with one of your posts.
We have a monster OL with two top NFL prospects and many more to come in future years.
Why couldn't we run on VA ? I know they have two good LB's but that's just another excuse!
PITT's OL should be blowing the DL's off the ball and that not happening with any consistency!
Let's get ur going lots of tough games left! Even Cuse we watched them yesterday and they're no pushover!

I wouldn't mind seeing him get some more snaps on D here and there, he is disruptive. Altbough I think he vould easily could have been flagged for a personal foul on that play.
But we have so much we can rotate at running back, I think he can stay fresh enough to get in on more plays on defense.
