i see them as pretty similar: both are pretty good coaches - you probably aren't going to have a truly bad season with them. or if so, it's infrequent. and they can beat very good teams. but they just never get it done as far as truly making a run. they both get a lot of out of some of their players.
so andy has a nice run of success in philly but ultimately, the fans get sick of 10/6 and first round losses in the playoffs. eventually, logic goes out the window of how the eagles were before and fans want something better. andy goes immediately to a crap team and makes them relevant. but relevant is all the chiefs will ever be under andy. he's a 10-6 guy.
that's where we are with jamie - he is who he is. he's not going to change much after 13 years. the reality is he should go to a school like BC who just can't get it together and make them relevant; get them in the conversation where they haven't been for years. maybe even an SEC school that wants to have a decent BB program (arkansas, bama, etc). we could all think of loads of schools who would be very happy to have him, and should take him in a heartbeat - schools that aren't getting the young up and comer - schools who, being realistic, aren't ever winning a nat'l title but getting a few thousand more butts in the seats wouldn't be a bad thing. but pitt fans are now like eagles fans - we know what we're getting every year and we're kind of tired of fully knowing how the season is going to go.
