And for those who bashed Webb constantly, when he went out NW went directly at Stocker(his replacement) who badly blew 2 covers that went for big gains.
People never want to see all the good players do until they are no longer in the picture. Jay Stocker will be a good player in time he was just not ready for the moment when Webb went down.
Terrish Webb was nowhere near as bad a player as people want to imply. As a FS he was asked to make far too many tackles(that the LBers should have made) while also being responsible for being the last man defense. Easy to see how his priorities could be exposed in a game where instant decisions need to be made & made correctly.
Football is a team game where every split 10th of a second is critical.

I think it was Jarrett that got pushed out of the way on the long run that got Northwestern going. He didn't look right.

Yeah, he was as bad as everyone indicated. Couldn't cover and couldn't consistently tackle. Not good characteristics for a safety.
