Should Jeffress be moved to the 4 with Horton back? It sure doesn't seem like he has a good enough perimeter game to be playing the 3 right now. What he does have is hustle. I wonder if he could be like a poor-man's Nasir Robinson/Sam Young (FR/SO/JR before he moved to the 3). I'm not saying he would be anywhere in the same stratosphere as those guys but saying that perhaps he could have some success as an undersized 4. He doesn't have the body of those guys which is a huge problem but I wouldn't mind seeing what he could do there.

I want to see his PT cut down to about 10-15 mins per game. He can spell the 3 or 4 position.

Over the last five games our third most used lineup is Odukale, Ezeakudo, Burton, Jeffress and Hugley.

Who do we suppose is playing the four in that lineup?

Interesting. I do hate having Onye and Jeffress on the floor at the same time though since both have D2/D3 games offensively. Cant play 3 on 5

I’m not moving Mo Gueye to the bench for William Jeffress. You may want to.

As I watch this group lately,
it's our most effective five.
What I would do is cut
Jeffress' minutes in half
and give them to Olidapo.
I'd bring Horton slowly
back into the lineup in
place of Ezeakudo, and
let Ezzy come off the bench
giving Burton and Femi a
break when needed. I'd
want to see if Jeffress was
better coming off the bench
than as a starter. Right now
he's giving us almost
nothing.

He's already played some four for a good handful of minutes this year when Eze, Femi and Will were at the 1-2-3 spots. I expect this will continue on a limited basis based on matchups.

I don't know about Jeffress at the 4, I've never seen him turn the pivot on the double play. He should probably play the 3, most guys his size are better suited to 1B than 2B. He reminds me a lot more of a young Donn Clendenon than Maz.

Nasir played the four like a guy who grew up playing against tough SOBs in Chester. He could finish. Call me crazy but I haven't noticed that specific talent in jeffress

Just saying that he, Chevy, and Sam Young were thought to become perimeter players but neither developed enough of that skillset. Young did later in his career. I dont see Jeffress becoming a "plus" perimeter player. I would move him to the 4 and have him try to carve out a niche there. Playing him at the 3 is like playing 5 on 4 offensively
