Jeffress line

This was our biggest win in awhile. Think it was mere coincidence that Jeffress played much less than his normal?

Did it make you feel better posting this? Or posting it after last game? Or, well, you get the idea.

Is there anyone here who doesn't think that he plays too much? What are you proving by pointing out that he didn't play much today? Do you think that someone here didn't notice?

Yea, it was time. He cant play at this level, at least not yet. He reminds me of me when I'm playing on a team with better players against a good team. Just trying to catch the ball and pass it before turning it over.

Capel gave him a shot but he's a very low D1/D2 player right now. There's no way he's better than those Cal and IUP guys that me and BballinsiderfromPitt talk about.

Armoni Foster would start for Pitt at the 1, have Burton at the 2 and Femi 3. Then you might have something here

We need a point guard. Don’t know which of Burton or Odukale makes a better 3. Don’t know if it makes much of a difference.

For next season I would like to see:

PG - ? Backup - Odukale
2G - Burton. Backup. Horton
SF - Nike. Backup Odukale

Burton and Nike would provide the most consistent performance/output. Hopefully a new point guard could do the same.

I don’t know. There are a good number of posters that really like to pounce on Gary at any opportunity. Whatever gets their jollies.

But in this case, you can’t say it isn’t a significant deviation from the norm that Jeffress only played 9 minutes as opposed to the norm of upper 20’s if not 30+ in many games. And it happened to be one of Pitt’s more impressive games.

Seems like a good guy and we all want to root for him, but he is shooting probably the worst FG percentage in school history. There’s been plenty of young guys who performed better and didn’t come in with his hype. I do hope he gets things turned around.

Of course we do and his struggles are quite obvious. No one likes or needs a jerk piling on. We can read stats ourselves.
A little tired of internet tough guys.

Yep, he has been bad. There is no sugar coating it.

With that said, Gary has been over the top about it. Every single game.

he’s definitely fine for backing up John. Not quite sure if he’ll be ready for Mo’s minutes though so finding a replacement there will be huge. He’s a pretty unique player.

I dunno either. Gary pounced on me plenty during the Dixon and Stallings days, especially when he said I was trying to turn the board against Stallings (subliminally, or whatever).
