Always enjoyed Jim in any format. Hope he enjoys his retirement
From what I was told, he's also as big of an actual "Pitt fan" as just about any of us here on the Lair.
I don't listen to a lot of FM radio these days but I always liked Jim. Old school NBA fan too, liked the rare times he got to talk about that.
I honestly don’t know how people listen to madden.
he is disgusting as a person and a personality.

Always hoped Jim got combat pay for hosting the Pitt football post game show during some awful years
Back in the day, when he was with Madden yeah he was the straightman. Madden called him "Colonelberg". That was when Madden was semi listenable before he tries to turn every show into a less talented Piper's Pit.
always liked him. he actually seemed like a big pitt fan that downplayed it on the air. not out of spite or anything, just professionalism.
“This is Andy from Munhall”. That would usually start off the Colony Pitt post game hit line show. Then Titleman would call in for 10 minutes if intelligent discussion followed by 90 minutes if pure hell for Jim. He deserves extra retirement pay for that gig
they asked him yesterday if he's going to do any future pitt post games show and he followed up with a passionate and quick "No way."
i guess he's still going to be picking up occasional assignments for the station..
