This guy needs to get on with his life's work, because it certainly isn't basketball. Sure, when he's hitting 3's it is worthwhile to have him on the team, but when he's not, he adds no value.
Please don't tell me he is a good defender. Jones couldn't keep up with Rowan, who is about as "stand-still jump shooter" as you can get. Jones' handle is poor, and god-forbid he tries to create his own shot off the dribble. It rarely ends well. Even his shooting form is atrocious. He contorts his whole body on jump shots so that he is basically an airborne curve, with his hips in the back and legs and arms out front. It is far from pure, and any good coach would have been on him to change it a while ago.
Cam Johnson is better already. And what he's not better at, he can learn by playing more. Jones is a good kid and all, but c'mon, he's not an ACC level player. Jamie needs to be a big boy and not play him just because he's been at Pitt longer than Johnson.
