wouldn't it be nice if PN could get Revis and Shady to join Larry Fitz and AD at the spring game.

That would be pretty damn impressive to the recruits that are there, not that the original two aren't impressive enough.

In that same idea, it wouldn't be a shocker if TD popped-in for the game. It's a sad thought, but he knows that the day may come when he won't be able to do the things that he's doing now, so why not take advantage of the time?

I thought about that as well, but then thought it might be better to spread it out and have them as coaches next season. I'm getting ahead of myself (that's what message boards are for) but the year after that have NFL Co-Offensive rookies of the year, James Conner and Tyler Boyd coach or

1) A current great versus a retired great (Shady & Curtis Martin) as head coaches.
or
2) Have a huge reunion and have past greats coaching there respective positions, i.e.,

Offense

Marino & Cavanaugh - QB's
Dorsett & Martin or Shady - Running Backs
Hyno & Lousaka Polite - Fullback
May & TJ Clemmings - Tackles
Fitzgerald & Boyd - WR
Covert,Fralic, Reuben Brown - Guards
Stepnoski & Jeff Christy - Center
Ditka & Dorin Dickerson - Tight Ends

Defense

Chris Doleman & Tony Woods/ Jabaal Sheard - Defensive Ends
Siragusa, Sean Gilbert, & Aarond Donald - Defensive Tackle
Green, Jackson, Blades/Sunseri/ Scott McKillop - LB's
Reavis & Shantae Spencer - Corners
Tim Lewis & Carlton Williamson - Safeties

Andy Lee - Punter

The combinations are numerous and helped by a plethora of former greats and a select few present greats who maintain a disproportionate high profiles for such a modest number of NFL'ers currently in the league, in Shady, Revis, Fitz and Donald.

Board Cops -

1) Just having fun. I realize it's unlikely to happen on such a grand scale.

2) Players chosen were, First Team All Americans, NFL Pro-Bowlers, 1st Round Draft Choices or some other equivalent award (minus Boyd). Players currently on TV as announcers were given extra consideration for name recognition purposes.

3) I recognize Jackson and Green were DE's in college. I placed them at linebacker due to the fact that they played LB in the pros, the lack of star power at DE, and distinguished alum, Chris Doleman (HOF) and Jabaal Sheard, (2010 BE POY & AFCA 1st Team All-American) being available.

4) Just for fun, I considered adding a position for hell raisers on and off the field but it would take quite some time to assemble :) Ironhead, Al Chesley (weed) Sheard (just one incident, but one that merits acknowledgement with him throwing a guy threw a storefront window) and quite a few others, particularly the late 70's & early 80's. Ironically, when Pitt was perennial top 10, the numbers were higher and the less successful the team got, so to were the number of incidents, relatively speaking. Might be some correlation there.
