I know this is extremely unlikely but if we win the next 5 (and dont win the Coastal), we finish 10-2 and probably finish in the Top 10-12 which means an auto NY6 spot (in either the Orange or Cotton Bowls).

Honestly, I just like being able to type stuff like this midway through the season after suffering through years of Pederson's self-imposed probation.

This seems crazy unrealistic and it is but we will be favored over VT and Miami is beatable. The last 2 games arent gimmes but should be home W's. So, to, me, we are 2 wins away from playing Clemson for a New Year's 6 bowl.

5 games left 4 of them are really winnable......guys we are not going to beat Clemson, we just aren't, especially down there, the program isn't there yet which isn't a bad thing, it is a process....I will root like hell that game but I won't be like some of the schmucks on the board that will want to fire everyone after that game.....It will be a gauge of how much farther we need to go....

Well, there's probably like a 10% chance we beat Clemson (my guess at ESPN's FPI) so its theoretically possible.

Here's the thing, I'm going to the Clemson game and if we are 7-2, that will feel like a NY6 play-in game for me as I'm watching the game in Death Valley and I can't think of anything better than that this late in the season after Pederson's probation.

I realize beating VT and Miami back to back is probably not going to happen. But if it does, I will be so pumped for that Clemson game.

Clemson has not been the Clemson of last year at all. I don't think we win, but to think we don't have a slight chance is disingenuous. Ncst was a 33 yard fg away from beating them. I think our offense is good enough to hang with them. Where they hurt us is Watson lobbing pass after pass to their tall wrs. But if we get a rainy mucky type of game and control time of possession, I could see an upset. I highly doubt it happens but I think we are better than some posters make us out to be
