I like many of us spent last night screaming at the television. Pitt was forced to throw a lot last night we were left with many 3 and medium to longs that we just couldn't convert and it killed us. With that being said below are some things I noticed.

1. I am never one to blame the refs in the end we made to many mistakes and couldn't overcome them. But was there a holding penalty called all night. It seemed like the UNC offensive line was tackling our D-Line and nothing was being called.

2. I really feel our lack of depth showed last night especially in the secondary, it is a little sad to me that week after week we have to watch Pitts give up big plays or make stupid mental errors and there is NO ONE who can take his spot. He flashes brilliance and then loses his man or doesn't look for the ball or makes a stupid penalty so frustrating.

3. There was a breakdown somewhere offensively last night, I don't know what it was but Peterman seemed frustrated all night, Boyd didn't seem right most of the night it was almost like they were second guessing the play calls. This was especially apparent at the end of the first half it was like Chaney didn't think we were going to score so he just took his time getting the plays in.
- With the above being said I think Chaney is a good offensive coordinator who runs a conservative yet effective offense, I think with a little patience and couple seasons of seasoning this offense will be tough to stop.

4. Defensively, have we forgotten how to tackle. It amazed me last night we made Maquise Williams look like Steve McNair last night not wrapping him up and bringing him down we would have him but not finish the play, or finish the tackle. I counted a least 3 times we had him dead in the backfield but then we over pursue and he bombs it down the field. With that said why is it that our DB's think its ok to let a guy go when we may have a sack. The first touchdown was like Amara stopped because he thought he was sacked.

These were just some things I noticed, I think Pitt has gotten off to slow starts pretty much every week and then made the adjustments at half time to come back and win it's been our formula all year. However this week the hole was just to big, we made to many mistakes. I think Pitt played much better in the second half which is encouraging this team never gives up. Lets get back at it because Notre Dame is coming to town.
