A couple quick notes while I write an article on Chase Pine committing.
- The reason for the delay between reports of him committing and Pat Narduzzi's tweet was that Pine hadn't talked to the staff yet. Narduzzi's tweet came right after he talked to Pine; he actually said to Pine, "Are these rumors that I'm hearing true?" So when those reports came out, Pine hadn't actually committed yet.
- Pine's top three schools were Pitt, West Virginia and Georgia. He feels like Pitt had a good opportunity for early playing time and he feels like he'll fit into Pitt's defense best - better than he would at WVU or Georgia.
