Kene and Sidy

1. Unfortunate, but not surprising.

2. Also unfortunate, but this IS surprising.

#2 wasn't that surprising really--it had been rumored on this board for a while that he wasn't going to apply for a 6th year because he wanted to play in Europe.

Unfortunately the Meyer tweet makes it sound like he was turned down by the NCAA which is probably, or maybe, not really the case.

I don't think either will be really missed and I don't believe either would have gotten any minutes next season except at garbage time. Each made a good choice to move on, IMHO.
Sidy would have really helped. I think he was pretty solid and provided a much-needed veteran presence last year. Not only that but he’s pretty skilled and athletic.

Dont disagree. I was referring to the post that said Davis and Ellison.

Unless your finishing up your masters degree taking a 6th yr at a losing program vs playing professionally and actually getting paid is a no brainer !

Both indeed would have helped, too bad. Good luck to them.

You really think so? IMHO they have been already recruited over and would not be seeing any PT except at garbage time had they stayed. Drumgoole will immediately be better than Davis and Coulibaly immediately better than Ellison, IMO.

Davis would have had X, Trey, and the JUCO ahead of him. So at best
he'd maybe be the 4th guard in rotation. However Drumgoole can shoot
and Davis has very little offensive game. So more than likely he'd have
four players ahead of him and that makes him fifth in the backcourt.
Ellison would have Toney, and Champagnie definitely ahead of him,
along with Drumgoole possibly. All of this with probably even more
recruits coming in ahead of them.
I like Davis and Ellison and would have been happy if they stayed.
Unfortunately they both would be out of the rotation.
Again....they're players and players want to play. They both are now
better off basketball wise. I wish them well.

Sidy and Kene? Yes I do.
