Kenny Pickett

Whipple and this offense are starting to come along. I wish we could switch the Delaware and UVA game on the schedule.

I agree. I actually think that this crazy schedule helped pitt
today. They were battle tested from having an incredible difficult
front loaded schedule. In the process, these kids and Whipple
learned from the PSU fiasco at the goal line and rectified that
Today, at the end.

Narduzzis kids play tough.....and one thing I love about
Narduzzi is very strong, most weeks, at preparing his kids
for tougher opponents.........you have some duds like PSU
and ok st....But, you slay dragons too with NARDOG!!!!

Clemson, Miami, CFU...... imho best coach since walt

whipple is fo real , looks like the amazing Duzz is about.750 on OCs .
Pitt just needs Alabama $$$ then its ON Yo !!!

Crazy thing is Cheney is languishing in Tennessee and Canada is out of football. Cheney went to UGA from Pitt so you can’t fault him but in hindsight Canada looks like a fool. Remarkably, Watson is still employed.

I have been very critical of Kenny Pickett over the past year. While I still believe he has a lot to work on, I have to give him props.

He definitely has guts and determination. He is a good leader. And most importantly he is makinging progress every week this season so far.

I have to admit. I never thought he’d play as well as he has against top level competition. His improvement form the UVA game is phenomenal. Whopper deserves a ton of credit but so does Pickett.

Patti looked pretty good in his short stint as well.

Boy was I (and others) wrong about him after the UVA game. I’m willing to chalk that game up to first game jitters being he was working with a new coordinator. I loved the Whipple hire though, and I always thought Kenny had the tools if he could put them all together.

All I can say is that’s why the coaches get paid big bucks and I just watch from the stands. I’ll admit if I were the coach I would’ve had Kenny on a very short leash entering this season. To give myself some credit though, I would’ve never considered Shawn Watson as my offensive coordinator the past 2 years.

He can do cartwheels over to the sideline to get plays for all I care. Whipple has transformed the kid in a few weeks. His pocket awareness is much better and he's keeping his eyes downfield.

Kenny deserves all the praise he is getting and more. Mature beyond his years, the next phase of his development is to bring his passes down so his receivers can get yards after receptions, that will make him a first round draft pick. Loved his comment about people leaving, those fools missed one of Pitt’s best games ever. The fan that stayed rocked the place, glad to have been one of them. Narduzzi’s defense and Whipples offense = a real deal team.

Kenny played like a champion yesterday. He ran the O well and put almost every ball on the money...sans the 2 overthrows! The OL deserves credit too!

For us old timers--people leaving early was shades of those leaving at halftime of that Pitt WVU game decades ago when Pitt won 36-35 after being down 35-8 at the half.

Well, at least those who left can watch the TV replay.

That was my thoughts as well. Remembered that was first Pitt game my dad took me to...

Yeah he's no Palko in terms of accuracy, but finally we have a guy again like Tino or Stull who should be able to have a strong senior year after so much experience, plus he moves much better than those guys. Very tough kid.

Pair that with maybe 9 returning offensive starters, 7 or 8 returning defensive starters, and what should be an insane defensive line - next year is big for Narduzzi. And this year ain't over yet despite the UVA game starting us in a hole.
