Kithcart's scouting report:

"Strengths:
Kitchart is ultra-tough and competitive. He's cut-up and pretty strong, has long arms and looks every bit of 6-foot-1. He attacks the rim hard in the open floor, puts immediate pressure on opposing defenses and is relentless getting to the rim and also a good passer when forcing the defense to collapse. He also has a rare ability to go from 60 to 0, stopping on a dime for his pull-up. He's equally quick east to west as he is fast north to south and is an excellent on-ball defender who is capable of picking up the length of the floor and steering the ball.

Weaknesses:
Kithcart knows only one speed - and it's full speed head. He needs to learn to slow down at times and vary his pace, especially at the next level when transition opportunities aren't quite so prevalent. He tends to distribute in bunches - he's typically looking thinking attack first and pass second, but he's capable of being a distributor first and foremost, even while playing with his typical aggressive style, as he showed in Las Vegas during the Adidas Summer Championships when he handed out 10 assists in two different games. Defensively, he's potentially elite, but just needs to be a little more disciplined staying down in his stance.

Bottom Line:
He's a great fit for Pittsburgh - fast, quick, aggressive, super tough, competitive and able to be a high level defender."

His "Weaknesses" sounds like the exact opposite of James Robinson.

I will take someone who's weakness is "full speed ahead" every single time.

I think that's Dam Wilson's problem to an extent too. But as has already been said not a bad problem to have. Easier to rein it in than not have it.

That was also Newkirk's problem. But lets hope this kid continues to bring the confidence he possesses now and doesn't have the same result.

Validating of what I have come around to thinking about him.

And, what looks like JD scoring a recruiting coup in terms of scouting and evaluation - and Matt can correct me, but the guy who dug him up or followed up on him was Barton ...

Dixon should love this dude. "A high level defender". He should (& will) see a lot of time just off of his defense alone.

Plus, we all know his offense is pretty darn good too. He sounds like a really nice addition to Pitt & a good pickup for Dixon & the bball program.
