OK ...

This is not to say that he is a sure bet, or that he does not have a lot of work to do, but just might want to slow roll throwing KP under the bus.

In another string, people were saying Nate Peterman would have beat Clemson last night. First, as someone who tends to defend Watson, Nate Peterman had a better OC when he beat Clemson. By a good margin.

So there is that.

But, again with the myopia.

Sure, Nate Peterman as a fifth year senior was better than Kenny Pickett as a true sophomore.

But, apples to apples, that Nate Peterman at the same point in his career as Kenny Pickett was ... flaming out at Tennesee.

He landed at Pitt, but if people want to be honest about it, his first year as a starter at Pitt, he was marginally better than Pickett (a 139 QB rating vs 131 for Pickett), both in the first year of starting, again, with Nate having a better OC (Chaney).

Neither Patti or Beville are what Pickett isn't - Marinoeque enough to just step in and start slinging it like an NFL HOFer.

He has a lot of affirmative qualities for a college QB, and you win with with experience in college football. If Patti or Beville pop, so be it. But, the reality is that you win with experience in college football, and it is a good bet that Pickett takes a step forward next year, and another his senior year.
