Who would you have defend him tomorrow night? I think Jeter, but it will need to be a team effort. Jeter may be familiar with him while he was at Vandy and Wiltjer at UK.

Somebody has to defend Karnowski/Edwards (whom I expect only will play at C), so you would think ANO spelled by Maia would get that job. Right now Luther is second on the depth chart at C... but will Dixon really ask the 215 pound Luther to defend either of two players who are taller than him by 4 inches and outweigh him by 75 pounds??

Yeah, my guess he will (hopefully I am wrong), and we are best covering our eyes if this happens.

If I am wrong (hopefully), then he will have ANO cover the giants, spelled by YOUNG. MY is the only other player we have right now that has experience at C in these kind of games and is up to speed (not sure Maia is). Hey, last year we played FSU and they trotted out a TRIO of giants and.... we didn't have that much problem with them.

Dixon will probably send Maia out there and see how he does. If he is playing well Dixon will play him some more.

Besides that we will have Young and Jeter at PF... and Artis and... Slim or Jones I guess... at SF.

That means, if Wiltjer is playing SF we will have Artis covering him... and that might be unpleasant. Trying to cover him with Slim or Jones would be a total disaster (maybe not Slim I dunno).

I am really concerned about Jeter's D in a game like this. He seemed to be OK inside but was terrible when he had to cover his big at the 3 point line... and Wiltjer put in 68 3balls last year and, unless Jeter has made great strides in his D, the idea of him defending Willtjer is frightening.

What Dixon might well do... is play Luther at PF... covering Sabonis or Wilther. I don't know if Luther would be any better than Jeter covering his man at the 3 point line but... my expectation is Dixon will give Luther a shot.

Yeah... noticed in the stats that Pangos put in 81 3balls for the Zags last year... and he is graduated. Sterling Smith, put in 76 but hasn't been putting them in much with us so far. Would be nice to see him break out with that in this game.
