Lamar Jackson and Stetson Bennett were both born in 1997

What's amazing is parents naming their kid after a hat. I guess Bowler was taken.

Los of people were born in 1997.
One has been a n league for 3 years and one is still in college.

Lamar won heisman in 2016, 6 years ago. Bennett, same age, 6 years later, is a heisman candidate.

We are in the age of 25 year old college qbs. Covid years, now ncaa is giving another year for uva players cause some player didn’t like getting hazed. It’s getting silly

“Players didn’t like getting hazed”

Uh what?

UVA players have the option of another year because of a shooting … actual you know… Murder

yeah but he played baseball out of high school for like 6 years then got into football.

Yep.

It’s getting out of hand. Granted this batch is all Covid related but still.

Everyone should get 4 years of eligibility with one redshirt year. Lose a year if you transfer. It would fix a lot of this nonsense to go back to basics.

Why should kids even need a redshirt year? IMO four years is enough for college sports (and college), you don't need a fifth.

Even Pickett was born in 1998, and his (long) college career ended last year.
His was only 5 years and he played little (4 games total) his freshman year except his famous start vs Miami

This is not new .. Jason White was at Oklahoma 6 years and played games in 5 of them… 3, 7, 3, 14, 13

im sure we could find dozens other examples
