If Wade wants to play early for a good coaching staff, then Pitt is the best option. The other 2 schools have used car salesman for coaches. My apologies to all the fine, upstanding used car salesman.
Great support for the Vols. People there will show up for a car race, Vols football and a shot gun wedding. But the program is very much like most SEC programs really good recruiting and to much dependence on the QB making big plays. TN QB is just not very good. Jones can recruit, but his program is not consistent. Bama beat down takes the bloom off the rose.
So he has been to 3 Tennessee home games this season? That right there shows me that right now they are the team to beat.
boyd flirted with Tenn for a short time. but wade's interest is stronger, no doubt. i hope he comes our way but i'm on record saying he doesn't come our way.

Think what you want of him as a coach, but Butch Jones is not a "used car salesman" in the college football world. He has never had that persona anywhere he's been.
I don't think UT is a good fit for Wade for a lot of reasons, but Butch isn't one of them.
Franklin, that's a different story. Plus he can't coach to save his ass. Unfortunately for we Pitt fans he has to be on the brink of getting canned.
Kinda sends the message that he's just another guy that UT is recruiting. Not a top priority.
He was outcoached and should have lost to App. St, and he won on a fluke against Georgia. He is similar to Franklin - good salesman, mediocre coach.
Tennessee or Penn State. It's my impression he still doesn't think Pitt is worthy of his talent.

Knoxville, Tennessee is a cesspool of idiots... and I lived there for 3 years building a running a factory. Knoxville seriously is tense racially more than any other town I have been in. Certainly still a whole lot of red neck racists there. Its really the only time in my entire life I have actually been confronted with racism on a near daily basis.

Butch is a great recruiter, he has been everywhere he's been, but it's been because of effort and an ability to identify talent-not being an insincere fast-talking cheeseball like Franklin.

You think Jones personally writes up the field passes for recruits, or reviews them? You think any D1 coach in the country does that? That's the job of the lowest athletic dept. staffer at any school.

No, it's not correct. At least the part about him thinking Pitt "isn't worthy of his talents". Pitt may be 3rd - I have no clue. But that's not the reason.
Pitt isn't third with Wade. We shall see what happens after he takes his official to Pitt in November. It is a good sign that he didn't commit over the weekend though. It's also very good that he's an early signee wherever he goes. That stuff about Pitt not being worthy of anyone's talent is no longer appropriate and part of any recruits thinking. They may not want to stay local but they're no longer forced to leave to get coverage and recognition.

Wade can get 3-5 snaps (maybe more) on O at Pitt. That won't happen at Tennessee or PSU. I realize his future depends on his CB ability but lets face it, playing O is fun. Why not play CB and offense in the ACC?

Right, but if Wade is that good he will get his chances no matter where he plays. The difference between Pitt and Tennessee may be large in recruiting, but it is not seismic.
Who knows if these guys give a crap if they play on offense or not? For these 4 and 5 stars their only goal is reaching the NFL, they don't care how they do it.
Ironically, the last Tennessee player that I remember playing both sides of the ball was from PA. I think his name was Mark Jones. He was on some of those gawd-awful no-talent teams of the mid 2000s.
Knoxville is not a raciallyl tense place at all. Racial tension obviously exists to some degree everywhere, but there is no way I would describe Knoxville as a racially tense place. What part of Knoxville did you live in and where was your factory located?

You're also a grown adult and not an 18 year old that has been playing the "no respect" because he plays single A ball from the poor town of Clairton. I know you don't read twitter, but if you looked at his, you would see that he's very picky about anybody who says anything the wrong way towards him. I can only immagine how disrespected he felt having his name spelled incorrectly.
If its his third trip there, I'm sure they have made him feel welcome. If they really like him, they will make sure to spell his dad's name correctly on the check.
