Thinking about contacting a local bus service to get a bus to the Pinstripe bowl.
Just looking to see if there is any real interested.
I think it take 4 people for a bus. Does anyone have an idea of how many people it takes for a bus.
I have 15 people lined up so far.

I called pitt ticket office and they said because of the high demand of calls requesting this they are working on doing that.

I would love to not deal with traffic and also any potential weather. sit back, take a nap, watch some pitt vs psu on the way out, a little pitt vs clemson back home....

If you get a bus, there are 2 here absolutely interested . just get one with bathrooms so we can have a few adult beverages

There are some of us here in Bedford/Fulton county that would be interested also. Would be willing to drive to Chambersburg or Carlisle to board a bus if need be.

I'd have an interest. Was planning to take either the Reading or Allentown bus in and then take the subway from the Port Authority . . . but if there is one that goes to the Bronx . . . that might be better!

Will be calling Conestoga Bus to see the requirements for this to happen.

Thanks to all.

We're from the Allentown area and a Harrisburg bus will come down Rt 81 to Rt 78 and could make a stop in the Allentown area if enough are interested!

This bowl game is being played within 3-4 years away of a good number of Pitt fans' homes. How is there not a network of 20-30 bus trips leaving from places all over Central PA, Eastern PA, NJ, etc?

The one excuse of playing a game in NYC is driving into the city and parking. Pitt should have had buses on stand-by in case we got that bid.

Last year I thought about arranging a bus trip so I called Lenzner and got pricing to Annapolis and back. The cost of a full bus only came out to like $50 per person round trip. I don't know why Pitt doesn't put together bus trips like this.

Even from Pittsburgh, there should be a bus trip that leaves Pgh around 5AM and returns after the game around midnight.

Two of us, possibly three or even four would definitely be interested. I live in Mechanicsburg

l would very much be interested...I have two... possibly three if my wife can get off work. I'm in Middletown.

I live in Camp Hill and the Giant at the intersection at 15/11 is a pretty popular pick up location for buses because it's located right off 581 which means you can just hop on the interstate. Plus it would be easy to get to from Lancaster or York since its all highway. And you could make a stop on 78 in Bethlehem to pick up some Lehigh Valley people.

Just some ideas.

I live in Harrisburg area. I have my son and I. Possibly one other buddy very interested in the charter bus idea. Please keep me posted.

I e-mailed as well. FYI - just received e-mail notification from Pitt Harrisburg alumni association. They are currently looking to fill a charter bus as well. Depending on your numbers, may want reach out to reach and combine efforts.

Hey Jump,

Can I get that email address for the Harrisburg Alumni Association? We live in Mechanicsburg and would love to sign up. If not Lancaster's still better than driving to NY. Thanks.

I emailed her too and her response was simply "thank you." I don't know what that means

Jhud....I emailed you but never got a response. I assume you are still planning on getting the bus and are just ironing out the details

Sorry everyone. The numbers don't add up.
I don't want to string anyone along any longer but there is another
group trying to put together a bus.
Please email
Valerie.ketchen@highmark.com from the Harrisburg group. Hopefully
the numbers work for her group.

Sorry.

LOL. I got the same one. This is either her default reply or she hates us both. Worst case is you and I car pool to the game.
In Valerie's e-mail to the alumni association, she indicated she needed a reply by this Sunday 12/11. I assume her response was just to confirm she received your e-mail. I anticipate hearing something Sunday or Monday at the latest. I'll keep everyone posted if I hear anything before then. Have a great weekend. H2P!

Valerie needs your phone number. She said that her emails to you are blocked. She would like to try to team up with you. Can you email her?

Thanks for trying Joe...I emailed Valerie also but didn't get a response. If the Harrisburg bus doesn't work out is anyone interested in taking the train?? I just hate like hell driving into the Bronx!!

The cheapest I can find on amtrack runs around 200 round trip. that is insane

And during non Christmas season you can get up and back from Harrisburg for $88. I do it regularly. It's straight up gouging.
