Averaged 7.3 at D2 Catawba. May be a walk-on or a "scholarship walk-on" but its better than an empty chair. We only have 11 scholarship players without him.
Kid played at Old Dominion and UNCG. Has not played for 2 seasons.
If healthy, he is better than a walk on.
There’s literally no downside. There probably is not much upside, but there is absolutely no downside. I’d take another guard like him too. You never know…
If that's all Capel could get, it's a good addition. I agree, another
guard like him would be even better.
You can't have a Div 1 program playing 30+ games with only
three scholarship guards on the roster. We saw what happened
a few seasons ago when the injury bug hit our limited in number
guard rotation.
Obviously it will help the practice situation. Even though
there won't be a large number of game time minutes
available, there will be times our three main guards need
a break. We have the numbers inside and on the wing, out
front is a different situation. This addition will help.
Much better to add him than not, even if just for practice.
Went to dinner with this kid and his mother once. They are AWESOME people. Glad he’s back after that devastating car accident. He’ll be an infectious personality on the team.
As far as his game, he used to be a pretty good shooter. Hit 16 3’s in a game once in HS if I remember correctly. Very limited otherwise. He’s a straight 2 guard. No way he can slide to the 1 at all.

He actually elevates on his jump shot. I am impressed by anybody that plays D1 basketball and majors in biology, that's no joke.
You never know if or when the situation develops thru injury or foul trouble that you need a 4th guard. Capel had to sign someone and this was probably the best option at this late stage.

As long as he can help in practice, and occasionally add some
game time back up minutes, that's a plus. As far as the 1, we do
have three guards who can play there. Actually if Capel could
land another guard of this level, we'd at least have somewhat
decent depth in the back court. It's still an inexperienced
group, given that we lost Cummings, Burton, Sibande, and Elliott.
Once again, a decent thread ruined by a nonsensical comment.
Why? He was kicked off the team for something he was already "cleared" for.
Because there is absolutely no evidence at this point that she had anything to do with the decision.
Of course when has the absence of evidence ever stopped you from a hot take?

From the YouTube videos I've watched on Hueitt, he seems to be a good off the bench player in the ACC! I could see Capel using him like they did Nike Sibande!
He was reinstated. New admin. Now he's gone. And PG insinuates it was the new admin.
