Yeah, he and Watson are close. Watson's advantages are the rushing upside, which is almost necessary in today's NFL, and the fact that he's already proven he could do it with poor coaching and talent around him. I don't think Lawrence will fail with the Jets, but they're just such a black hole of talent so that's really the only concern that I have for him.

Completely agree about Lawrence. It’s obvious his success is not only because the talent surrounding him if you just watch the throws he can make.

Because we haven’t seen him without that surrounding talent though I think you still have to question how he’ll deal without dynamic receivers, a great running game, and a loaded defense to lean on. But I do believe that is the only question mark with him.

Not slobbering at all. I will say it is worth mentioning that Jurchovich has better stats than Lawrence and there is not a single player on BC who is better than their counterpart on Clemson.

Here’s the stats for the two QB’s you are discussing:

Lawrence - 19-2 TD/INT ratio, 2236 passing yards, 70.6 comp %, 9.8 yards per attempt, 178.7 QB rating

Jurkovec - 17-5 TD/INT ratio, 2558 passing yards, 61.0 comp %, 7.6 yards per attempt, 138.7 QB rating

One of these is way, way better than the other, and it ain’t Jurkovec’s. They are in no way comparable.

Quite the contrary...Lawrence is an incredible talent. He will have a good NFL career...my belief is it will not be as good as Jurkovich.
