It wasn't pretty but the win is what matters in the end. Some thoughts:
- It's hard to win on the road in conference play. Getting the win and going home at 8-2.
- I really don't think GDG should be playing over Delalic. We need the floor spacing and he continues to shoot threes like he's a sharpshooter. He should only be shooting if he's wide open or end of the shot clock. He's shooting 25% from 3. Credit for knocking down some big FTs though and actually leading us in rebounding.
- Lowe is such a winning player. He wasn't shooting well so he took it to the hoop over and over at the end and made all 6 of his FTs.
- If you watched the game, you now see why Papa doesn't play a ton. He's a bit lost out there but hopefully it improves.
- Another game with less assists than turnovers. Not a winning formula and needs to be cleaned up.
- They had a bad shooting night but pulled it out. Really good grit and mental toughness.
- Lawal from VT is someone I'm going to love watching when we aren't playing him. He looks like he's jumping off a trampoline.
- We are still really missing Dunn.
- Should have an easy win on deck against Eastern Kentucky. Hopefully we get a huge lead so we can play the backups and get them some run.
- OT: stinks soccer lost but they lost 3 of their last 5 and 5 of their last 7. They weren't playing their best soccer.
- Also OT: man is it fun to watch PSU always come up short. I really hope they get matched up with an SEC team. Their one ranked win is Illinois who themselves didn't beat anyone ranked. I wish Oregon would have won by double digits though.
