I hate to complain about refs. That inconsequential "hold" on the 2-point conversion, I shrugged my shoulders. Fine, bad calls happen, I said.
But giving them 5 downs was the most mind-boggling call I've ever seen in 35 years of watching football at any level.
If Virginia snapped it too early, they should be flagged.
Look at the consequences of the call. Redo w/ extra play 4 and 1 and drain the clock down to 2:20 and get a chip shot field goal. This is compared to 4 and 6 at the 29 (46 yard field goal) and over 6 minutes remaining on the clock. The extra down happened at 6:30.
Bostick said it on the radio. It's the refs jobs to get the heck out of the way. Virginia didn't rush to the line, they brought 2 O lineman in and new personnel.

Either way, the team controlled their own destiny 2 weeks, and didn't get it done for sooo many other reasons. They shouldn't have been in this position, but it is just so disgusting.
