How good would he have been if he didn’t die so young? Top 10? Top 50? Top 100 player of all time?
Just think how good the Celtics would have been and for how long.Great question.
Near Jordan. Very near Jordan. Top 10-20. JMI.
There would not have been a “bad boys” team.Just think how good the Celtics would have been and for how long.
Sad day for sure. There would not have been a “bad boys” team.
I cried the day he died. I was a Celtics fan then. Owned a green Celtics Starter Jacket.
We delivered the morning paper in the neighborhood. I was the first to see the news. Terrible.
Celtics repeat in 1986-87 with Bias taking minutes from Bird and McHale to give them some rest as the two physically destroyed their bodies that season. The following year Bias takes the leap as an All Star and I think Boston would have made it back to the Finals.Just think how good the Celtics would have been and for how long.
I think he would have been very, very good but the Jordan comparisons don't meet the eye test of their head to head match-ups. Red would have taken Brad Daugherty above Bias too, he said as much.
So maybe like Reggie Lewis. Borderline all-star, except with the benefit of being on a loaded 87 Celtics team able to step in after Walton and Wedman got hurt. James Worthy if he was clutch, Tracy McGrady if not?
I would have loved to see Bias playing above the rim with so many great passers like DJ and Bird.
Top 20 for sure. He could play the game. How good would he have been if he didn’t die so young? Top 10? Top 50? Top 100 player of all time?
Stick to footballI think he would have been very, very good but the Jordan comparisons don't meet the eye test of their head to head match-ups. Red would have taken Brad Daugherty above Bias too, he said as much.

Hmmmmm...Bias was much, much stronger than KD and I’m not sure there has been or ever will be, outside of Dirk, a better outside shooting 7 footer (Yeah they’re both 7 footers) in NBA history... not sure I see the comparison here - please expound...Lenny Bias was absolutely unbelievable. Probably Kevin Durant was a decent comparison.
I think he meant in regards to impact on the league, like KD is to Lebron And the NBA overall and what Lenny would have been to Jordan and the NBAHmmmmm...Bias was much, much stronger than KD and I’m not sure there has been or ever will be, outside of Dirk, a better outside shooting 7 footer (Yeah they’re both 7 footers) in NBA history... not sure I see the comparison here - please expound...
Top 50 easy, Top 10 with the right teammates! How good would he have been if he didn’t die so young? Top 10? Top 50? Top 100 player of all time?
Here's my comparison or reasons. And remember the era. Bias was 6'9", very lean and strong, could easily put the ball on the floor, score at will either outside or inside. So you have a supremely skilled tall guy who can play and finish above the rim and also play out on the perimeter. And just a gifted scorer. That's why I said KD.Hmmmmm...Bias was much, much stronger than KD and I’m not sure there has been or ever will be, outside of Dirk, a better outside shooting 7 footer (Yeah they’re both 7 footers) in NBA history... not sure I see the comparison here - please expound...
