Lost in this collapse is the absolute piss fear this board would have been if we were sitting at say 10-7 right now in the ACC and projected as say a 9 or 10seed.

I frankly think if say we would have finished 12-8, and got in the 8/9 game there should have been a bunch of complaining.

Pitt went out this year, played a really good non conference schedule, won a couple quality games, but even with that unless they went like 17-3 in conference I don’t think they ever had a shot at a protected seed.

So the question is, what the hell can the ACC do moving forward. It seemed even the non conference wasn’t going to insulate Pitt. It’s also problematic that the ACC has so many landmine games while every sec/big 10/big 12 game is seemingly quad one or two.

Btw, unlike last year I think the conference earned this. Last year they performed just fine OOC (which is why getting left out last year was crap) but this year it was crap.

Again, it’s a problem, and I think it’s a massive problem the league needs to sort if you had a team like Pitt play a stellar non conference schedule but need to go like 15-5 in league to even get a six seed?
