I want to live and die with Pickett for one year. That's all I ask. Let's not blow Patti's redshirt; let's not give a scholarship to anyone who shouldn't be playing at this level; etc. Let's just accept that if Pickett goes down we are royally screwed, but then things will restore themselves back to normal the following season.
We brought walk-ons in for bodies, and that is fine. If we find a grad transfer (obviously, he isn't going to be very good if he is on the market and willing to spend his final season as a backup) who will only consume a scholarship for one season, then I guess I'm okay with that, too. But no more patchwork. That is why we are in this position in the first place.
