There was an interesting article in the Trib today about Bell getting screwed because he was a second round draft choice and the rules for rookies in the NFL. Bottom line there is a huge difference between a first and later round pick in the money rookies get. In addition to,that running backs have a limited shelf life in the NFL.
This brings me to James Conner. Should he wait and try to become a 1st round pick or settle for a lower pick this year. Many on this board do not see him ever as a first round pick and if that is your belief I see why you think he should go.
I think he is a special back and think there is a chance with a monster year he could go in the first round. If that is the case I would wait. The current NFL rules just don't favor running backs in the lower rounds.
Maybe James should, talk to Revis and get his opinion. Darelle seems to play the NFL better than any other player not named Manning.
