Thinking about Tyler Boyd a lot this week got me to thinking about his place in Pitt history - or, at least, recent Pitt history. So on this week's Panther-Lair Show, I ranked my top five Pitt players since Larry Fitzgerald (I cut it off there since Fitzgerald is too easy a pick at No. 1).

Here's my list:

5. H.B. Blades
4. Scott McKillop
3. Tyler Boyd
2. LeSean McCoy
1. Aaron Donald

Click here to listen to the podcast for my rationale on those five, plus some honorable mentions

-No offense, but your list is terrible.

1) Aaron Donald
2) Darrelle Revis
3) LeSean McCoy
4) Andy Lee
5) This one's tough, because of injuries. Dion Lewis, Jeff Otah, Larod Stephens Howling, or Jason Pinkston

-The guys in the Top 4 all have at minimum 3 Pro Bowls and are at the top of their position in the league.

My list is based on their Pitt performances. Not their performances in the NFL.

-If that's the case then James Conner is #1 by a landslide vote and to be honest its not even remotely close.

-1800 yards rushing, 26 TD's, 1st Team All American, ACC player of the year, and the single season All Time ACC record holder for TD's, which he smashed the ACC All time record for touchdowns.

Pitt Panthers Rankings since Fitz for college only

1) James Conner- ACC player of the year, 1st team All American, ACC All Time TD Record Holder

2) Aaron Donald-1st Team All American, won the Outland, Bednarik, and Bronco Trophies

3) Jordan Whitehead- ACC freshmen of the year, All American, ACC overall rookie of the year, the 1st defensive player since 1995 that won the award, 110 tackles as a freshmen, smashed the Pitt record for tackles as a freshmen, and the all time NCAA record for tackles for freshmen Safeties as a freshmen

4) Darrelle Revis- Freshmen All American, 2006 National All American, Jim Thorpe award Finalist

5) Andy Lee- Special Teams Player of the Year, Twice. Two time 1st Team All Conference, and a finalist for the Ray Guy Award. The best special teams player in Pitt history

How can you put Blades above Revis based on their Pitt performances?

Peak - you need a medical permit to smoke that stuff
