They should but they won't. Dems know that most people against fracking are still voting Dem. Not banning fracking is a safe position for them to have, and they take dollars from the industry as well.

Lol...New York did. What makes you think the left fringe doesn’t want the same. They are betting everything on clean energy. Eventually we can get there, but not right now. Not even by 2035. There is no way we can be carbon neutral in 15 years and still run the worlds largest economy. Natural Gas is a major export for the US and Pennsylvania. Primary reason for the Marcus Hook terminal.
I don’t believe Biden will or can on private land, but he did say said he would do it on Federal Land. That right there puts 600,000 acres off limits in Pennsylvania. Now factor the rest of the country and that is millions upon millions of acres.

NY isn't a swing state. PA is so the Dem in PA won't touch it. And federally the Dems (Biden) won't touch it either.

Its just another example of a typical shady politician flip flopping (which is one of the reasons Trump got in office in 2016).

Sounds consistent to me. I'm not voting for Joe or any Dem who does not support single payer health coverage, but he didn't say he is going to ban it. I heard him say no NEW fracking and that he would not give the fossil fuel industry benefits through his administration. I heard him say they would phase it out, which is also what Rs say.

In other words, he isn't going to do much.

What do you mean "just enough" to get their votes. He made it part of his platform
Except he didn't. From his website:

"Biden believes the Green New Deal is a crucial framework for meeting the climate challenges we face. It powerfully captures two basic truths, which are at the core of his plan:"

Translation, he isn't on board with the green new deal.

So he won't let them frack on 2% of the state's land...what a stingy bastard

Thanks for proving my point - he made the Green New Deal part of his platform.

I don't believe I ever said he adopted it word for word.
You said he made the Green New Deal part of his platform. That implies, as Trump is attempting to imply, that he adopted the entire Green New Deal. In fact, it's not even 20% of the spending required.

But I will accept your post as a concession.

Yes "part" of his platform
But if it makes you feel good, you are correct he never adopted it word for word but he embraced the main concept

His plan calls for 2 trillion in spending. The Green New Deal would would cost tens of trillions. Big difference. He's just attempting to placate the left. Just saying enough to get their votes, or so he thinks.

That’s just Pa. ...federal land holdings in other states are much, much higher. Regardless, the intent of federal lands, outside of national parks and sensitive areas, is multiple use and always have been.
No one said the federal government has to give the leases away, but if their is oil and natural gas under federal lands it should be extracted where it makes sense. An outright ban is foolish.,
Joe is just proposing a ban to dangle a carrot for the far left base is the only reason.

You said Dems and NY is a Dem state. The ban in NY is costing upstate residents and the state government itself tons of revenue. But, as I stated I don’t believe Joe won’t. Harris is another story.
The point is, there is a facet of the party that would love to see it banned and they are slowly getting seats at the table.

I agree with that. I just don't think Biden or the national party will attempt a ban.

I think you are absolutely correct on your assumptions. I also don’t know why most Dems think you should vote for Biden. On a lot of issues you are much closer to
Trump supporters then they want to admit.

If you look at the political spectrum as a straight line (left and right), you should vote Biden. If you look at the political spectrum as round (Like you should under trump), you should vote for Trump. He is more in line with Bernie supporters than most Dems or republicans want to admit.

They already destroyed the coal industry and the country would have been extremely damaged if it wasn’t for the fracking which tremendously increased the natural gas production which fires the generation of electric. If not your heating bills would triple.

So NY was correct to ban it? Why put their water under threat if there is already plenty being produced?

New York has Wall Street. They can afford to ban fracking. What is PAs Wall Street?
Fourth Ave!

PA rammed it through. When fracking regs are fewer than those in conservative states, then you know it's a problem. You end up with Dimmicks and wells that will be leaking years from now after the frackers have bolted having earned millions.

Because they prevented the land owners to reap the value of their properties! This would be like preventing someone to build a business on their property because some others have business on theirs! This is exactly what happens in socialism!

Yes, socialism is when the government tells you what you can and can't do with your property! Now I know there has to be some reasonable restrictions, but in this case the land owner across the imaginary line that puts them in Pennsylvania is allowed to have wells drilled and fracked which could make them millionaires while on the new York side the government stops them! Madness!

Including the people you own as property
It’s also why cooking meth on your property is liberty
I also dump my used motor oil directly onto my
Back yard
