Even if he felt Pitt is committed to winning and made every reasonable effort to keep them, Narduzzi may wonder what the long-term upside is if he continues to lose assistants to richer programs.

Something to keep in mind if Narduzzi becomes more of an attractive HC option for richer programs.

He probably realizes that the loyalty he has isn't common in an occupation where money tends to be #1. I don't think that will affect him at Pitt provided the administration ponies up good money for his staff. Canada was a Broyles finalist this year, he had to realize the chances of him getting looks from elite programs were high. I also think he'd prefer this as opposed to having mediocre talent on his staff.

Good programs lose good assistants all the time too.

Nick Saban has now lost Kirby Smart and Lane Kiffin in the last two seasons. Dantonio lost a chunk of his staff with Narduzzi leaving and one reason Todd Graham and Brian Kelly struggled is staff turnover. The days of a staff staying together forever like Paterno's band of geriatrics did are over.

-Narduzzi wanted Chaney to walk. That was a fail hire from the start. Georgia fans want him fired already. Narduzzi was fighting with him. Why the hell would we counter offer Georgia when we had an offense that barely ranked in the Top 100 in the country? LOL at the logic there.

What if he doesn't leave? Perhaps it will be a very fine hour for HCPN and the entire Pitt family.....it will validate our future and our leadership's commitment.

LSU is going to miss their recent past in the very near future. Hopefully, MC will see that and we will give him a nice check to help him see it.

Merry Christmas!!!
