Is it true that Jason Capel told them to STFU? Someone said that in another thread.
The Capels seem to expect nothing but unwavering support from this fan base, despite one tournament appearance in seven seasons. That's odd to me. Do they not think Duke and UNC fans boo their own teams? They most certainly do.

Coach K have them that trained? He's a crybaby the second something doesn't go his way, so maybe he has rubbed off on his understudies.
That said, Duke hasn't has a ton of reasons to boo lately. I'm willing to bet that if they miss the tournament twice in three years, as UNC soon will, you'd hear some boos.
Yes. Duke bball and Coach K is a little like PSU/Paterno. It's cult-ish. They'll never boo.
The boos were loud and clear, and most were coming from The Zoo. These players are being paid to win. If they lose, they will suffer the consequences and get booed. The coaches and players don't deserve our praise and will keep getting booed if this continues, no matter what some thin-skinned, weak coach says.
They keep acting with no professionalism and the real clowns are those on here defending them with comments referring to them as "Leader of men", good role models, "Nice guys".... ...I don't see it. There are tons of great coaches that do not have those qualities, so that really does not matter, but please, quit referring to the Capel's as if they possess those qualities.....sorta like saying "She's not that good looking but she has a nice personality" when actually she has neither looks or personality....
I wanted to give the Capels a good opportunity to come through as good Pitt coaches. I really did, especially after last year and going into this year. I didn't even expect them to get to the level of a Dixon or Howland. And on a personal level, I wanted to find reasons to like them because they coached Pitt.
That's all changed now. Their mediocre to sometimes less than mediocre performance as coaches and personally is just too much to overlook. They come off, especially Jeff Capel, as nice guys while they are insincere and sound fake to me. Jeff is more interested in politics than he is about coaching, and he's poor at both. Jason seems to be just classless and crude.
I'm waiting for the day that both are gone from Pitt. We've been waiting 7 years now and don't see much progress with NCAAT performances and appearances. Jeff said he'd get us there when he started at Pitt and he's been saying it ever since with nothing to show for it. It's time for this staff and the Capels to put up or shut up. In fact for the Capels, it's just shut up and do your jobs. No more talk. Pitt isn't getting its money's worth out of those 2.

Coach Jeff Capel was "booing" in his own way. He had Lowe sit on the bench for the same reason the partisans in the stands were booing.
