I think everyone agrees that this OC hire may be the most important hire Narduzzi has had to make so far at Pitt. While following coaching moves this offseason however, I am noticing more and more high level OC jobs being open this offseason. Just off the top of my head we have already had schools like Alabama, Tennessee & USC make OC hires. Florida State, Georgia, USC again and possibly Wisconsin are schools still in the market for the position. That doesn't even count schools like Ohio State, Louisville, Miami & UNC who have new staffs completely this offseason. I know that Pitt isn't competing in the same financial bracket as most of these teams when it comes to coaches pay, despite an effort to improve that recently by Narduzzi and Lyke. At the same time, with that many opening that means a lot of good OC options are either off the board already or have the luxury to be picky with where they want to go next.

This could make a very important hire even more difficult for Narduzzi.
