- First and foremost, they need at least a draw for a bye to the quarterfinals, which they would host next Sunday. Not only that, but a draw locks up an NCAAT bid in my opinion. If they were to lose (and they'd still very very likely get the bye) and then lose their first ACCT game, they'd sweat on Selection Sunday. I still think they'd be in but I wouldn't call it an absolute lock.

- If Pitt beats ND, then a lot of good stuff can happen. If UVa were to lose to UNC (a game UNC desperately needs), Pitt wins the Coastal, which would be nuts, and would get the #2 seed in the ACCT.

- If Pitt beats ND and then, say, wins 2 games in the ACCT, I think they are in position for one of the 16 National Seeds, a bye in the 1st Round of the NCAAT and a home game in the Round of 32. Win that and your 2 wins away from the College Cup. A win probably also gets them at least a home game in the 1st Round of the NCAA Tournament.

We lost, 1-0

ND got an early goal and then parked the bus. Treated us like we're Barcelona or something. Ref missed a clear handball in the box late. Pitt was the far better team but ND got the W. We did end up finishing 4th and got a bye to the quarterfinals next Sunday at home. We have to win that to absolutely solidify an NCAAT bid. Lose and sweat a little.

Sunday, November 10 at 3:00 versus the winner of the 5-12, NC State - Duke game.

RPI dropped to 39. They best not lose this game or they'll be really sweating on Selection Sunday. Its crazy that Duke, who was ranked #2 earlier in the season finished last in the ACC.

Two consecutive 3rd down throws to receivers coming back toward the LOS shirt of the chains with zero chance to get the first down.
