Biggest game of the year so far and a really interesting matchup. Lamar Jackson and the best offense in NCAA football versus DeShaun Watson and the best D in college football. Two heavyweight coaches. Is Jackson for real?

Michigan v Wisky is another interesting game. A lot of people are wondering if either team is for real. Wisky has certainly proven more to this point than Michigan has. Very good looking defenses on both sides with Wisky's being the better of the two, Michigan's offense looks far better than Wisky's, but who have they played? Interesting culture clash as well between P.T. Barnum and Uncle Paulie from the Tuesday night bowling league.

And of special interest to us Pitt fans, FSU versus UNC. FSU has struggled to stop the pass this year as well.

Kind of stupid question, but is there Free WiFi at Heinz? I might try to stream the Louisville/Clemson game while watching Pitt roll Marshall.

Really, I couldn't care less to see any game on at the same time as the Pitt game! I remember one year Pitt was 4-6 and playing Cincy in a snowstorm, and #1 was playing #2 on another channel, I was intensely focused on the Pitt game, not caring at all about #1 vs. #2.

I would only look during breaks of the Pitt game of course. I would be actively watching during plays, etc.

I wish Pitt could have a 3 weeks stretch like that JUST ONCE in say, the next 30 years.
Who knows? If it breaks right, maybe Pitt gets a shot at Louisville in Orlando? It is Petrino's 3rd year back in his second stint at Louisville. He's doing great. But, that said, Louisville could very well lose to Clemson and Houston in short order. Personally, I expect them to win them both. But, both road games. Never know...

If i'm not mistaken this line has move 5.5 points since it opened. clemson went from a favorite to a dog at home.

Yes, Heinz Field has free public WiFi now. Works wonderful for twitter, not sure what kind of speeds you'll get with streaming though.

I recall that as well. I am the same

Are you mentally challenged? Or just ill?

Why? Do I have to want to watch games of other teams? I'm a fan of Pitt and the Steelers, every weekend I watch those two games in their entirety, religiously, all 60 minutes, yes, even last weeks Steelers game, even that one I watched all 60 minutes. Am I required to be such a fan of the sport in general that I be obsessed to watch the "best matchups"? I'm not, I watch MY TEAMS religiously and maybe a few minutes here and there of other games. Watching MY TEAMS is way more important than watching titanic showdowns between the very best teams, that's just me, so what?

I'd definitely give Alabama the nod on defense over Clemson, but this is definitely a big time matchup. Either way, I kind of want to see either team run the table and go up against Alabama at the end of the year. I think I'd like to see Louisville and Lamar Jackson get that shot.

Don't like Chryst or Harbaugh for completely different reasons, so not sure how I would cheer. I think Michigan wins.

Go FSU!

Multiple TVs and DVR are a wonderful way to combat this problem, but either way, I understand and it is great to have fans like this.

I doubt that Pitt79 will be at the game, but I certainly am not going to be at heinz watching another game

Honestly, each game runs 3-4 hours, I am good with watching just one game in a day. When the weather gets bad, a watch a lot more.

Congratulations. Your medal for watching only YOUR TEAMS is in the mail.

That was 2011. Alabama vs LSU. The night before, there was a thread on here basically asking "what are you going to do: go to the Pitt game, or watch #1 vs #2?" If I recall the OP was in the stay home camp. I responded likewise, saying I was probably more a fan of the game than a fan of Pitt. But, there were many responses that expressed sentiment similar to your own, and the certainty & conviction of those posts really made me re-consider my decision. I ultimately ended up at the Pitt-Cinci game instead.

I don't need a medal, but the previous poster called me stupid for feeling that way. I see nothing wrong with not caring about the "national picture" and just watching MY TEAMS, in general I've watched every Pitt bowl game in it's entirety, but I've probably not watched any more than 2-3 of the last 20 NC games, Monday night, late, work in the morning, plus no rooting interest, games that mean nothing to me.

Not sure why that person would make that comment to you. A shot over nothing.

Plus I don't bet on football or even play fantasy or pick 'em anymore, so I have even less rooting interest than I did a few years ago. I like sports in general, but rooting interest is priority #1 to keep me engaged watching any game.

Fair enough. I was all excited about that Louisville/Clemson game until another poster pointed out that it's the same time as Pitt.

Don't get me wrong, I'd have interest in it, might of watched some of it, but it's not like a Pitt game where I'd block out 3-4 hours to just focus on it.

Happened to be at the Wisky/MSU game this weekend. UW's defense dominated that game with a lot of help of MSU's O.C. (and QB). Might have been the most boring offensive game plan I have watched all year. MSU looked hapless.

Michigan/UW should be an interesting match up. I dont see UW's offense doing much without their D forcing turnovers and providing short fields.

As an aside, anyone who bitches about Heinz Fields should take a trip to Spartan Stadium. What POS stadium that dump is. You literally can't use the restrooms or buy drink without missing a half. I can't imagine being a fan of MSU and dealing with that place 6 times a year. The feeling was mutual with the Badger fans I attended the game with.

That is really odd to me, to be so into watching Pitt football and not caring about NCAAF at all on the whole, but to each his own. I'm a sports junkie though, so I will give up sleep to re-watch the Pitt (and Alabama) games, while also watching as many others as I can.

Yes, but is it on campus? Being miserable is great if you do it on campus.

I see where the guy is coming from. I rarely watch other games to completion. I'll check in and out on big games or games of interest. One caveat. If I am not doing anything I will watch the Nits in hopes they get beaten down. I am not nearly as zealous about sports [other than Pitt or the Nits losing] as I was 40 years ago.

I DVR my favorite teams games, burn DVDs of the best games. In every sport. And I only care about my teams, not the NCAA, NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, Soccer as a whole. I like to search the listings specifically for my teams games. Every sport except NFL, I quit watching as soon as my team is eliminated from the playoffs for the most part.

Yes, like this, I may watch NFL Red Zone all afternoon if the Steelers aren't on, or flip between 5 college games on a Saturday night, just to pass the time, but not intensely focused on any game.

Definitely to each his own. We can each both be huge Pitt fans, but care about the sports landscape much differently.

I usually have a TV on redzone and one on a game (hopefully the Steelers, if I get them) I want to see.

If it's the STEELERS game I am so focused and intense, I get pissed and curse at the TV if they cut away to show a report or highlight from another game!

Hah. I don't penny up for Sunday Ticket for the Steelers, so I don't get all their games. Maybe in the future, when it gets broader distribution and lower cost. I get upset sometimes, but it is what it is. I couldn't change anything if I was in the stands and I certainly can't change anything from my couch or a barstool 1000 miles away.

I don't get Sunday Ticket either, but here in Baltimore I usually get 10-12 of their games every season anyways on regular TV..
