As an alumnus, you have to keep it in perspective. I get that LSU has the bigger athletic program. However, I can't help but feel bemused when you take the whole picture into account and see that Pitt is superior to that shit school in the south. Pitt has a $2.1 billion operating budget compared to LSU who is around $1.2 billion. Academic rankings are no comparison. Petty rant? Sure. I admit it. It just sucks to lose to an inferior school because you are not as good as it is in one subset of university life that should not be a priority.
This will be Canada's 13th job in 21 years! Coaching is fluid and you have to have plan b,c & d in place always.
Its not a great U its a football and basketball factory.
We have two mfg plants in Baton Rouge and I used to go their a lot.
The Baton Rouge locals cant wait to go to Thunder Valley to watch football and they love LSU basketball.
Almost anyone can get in LSU. Lots of commuter students. Not a lot of high quality kids from other states knocking down the doors to get in except for football and basketball players!
Yes I am. As I said, I admit that it's petty and reeks of the Fox with the sour grapes message. But I can always hold my head high that my alma mater didn't cover up gross criminal activities of a most heinous nature. We at least have that going for us.
i will give lsu credit on one thing. they took a chance on hiring ed as the head coach but they went out and spent money on two good assistants to help ed out. smart.
