Sorry for the misspell but I don't know how to edit the title.

This surprises me a little as I thought the competition was between Pitt and Cornel. Best of luck to Luke

I stayed in Princeton last week and walked the campus. Ivy league schools like that have you connected for life and besides that very good wresting.

When I was at Pitt, they were the wrestling power in the Ivy League. Then, Penn supplanted them. Recently, Cornell has taken it to the next level, becoming a major national power. I assume Princeton is trying to get back in the mix.

Their may be personal growth reasons to leave home or ...

Princeton and Rutgers create the New Jersey RTC to build Olympians and improve wrestling in the state

RTC's are the new wild, wild, west off college sports. In new jersey, they are combining boosters to benefit both schools.

Pitt can compete with anyone on an academic, athletic tradition, and quality of life level, but will they be able to compete in the RTC game?

RTCs aren't the wild wild west anymore and the RTC battle is almost over with a handfull of coming out on top, the Snyder move should scare everyone. The next wild west in wrestling will be pay to play with wrestling clubs and sponsorship deals.

Can Pitt build a competitive RTC, yes but it is going to be hard. It takes money, elite coaching, producing elite homegrown talent to get there. NLWC got the money and the elite coaching but they did not take the next step until the produced wrestlers who had success on the international level.
