Surprised he has NC State so safely in and Clemson out. I think right now, after some results last night, we are in but a lot of these teams are still playing and there's still bid stealers left.

The blowout unfortunately dropped our NET to near 70. I mean Pitt didn't show up, the coaches obviously didn't have them prepared and that was the result. Add to that we haven't had a really good win since early January but are 3-4 in our past 7 games including an embarrassing loss to ND and you got Lunardi putting us in Dayton. And we could very well miss the Dance entirely.

Ok, but I think it makes some sense to unofficially use a Q4 loss to take away a Q1 win and a Q3 loss to take away a Q2 win. So lets re-run it.

NC State good in Q2, Pitt bad. But NC St really bad in Q1 and Pitt ok there. Is this enough to have NC St 10 ahead of us. We beat them at our place. Trying to be unbiases but I dont know how you can put them ahead of us. Even if we combine Q1 and 2 after we eliminate our wins, they are 8-10. We are 5-9 but beat them and have 3 more road wins.

The game plan was to crowd the lane and leave them more open to shoot 3s. I cant say I disagree. They arent a good shooting team and shot poorly vs us the 1st time. They shot 13-20 from 3 which is hard to do in warmups. NBA players in 3 point contests dont always go 13-20.

If UNC had our exact resume don't you think every bracketologist including Lunardi would have them in? Probably as a 10 seed. This to me is what makes all this unfair. Because it's Pitt who hasn't been relevant in years we are in deep trouble. But I am 100% UNC would be safely in if they had our exact resume.

Not wide open but yes, I did think they wanted Filipowski hanging out on the perimeter, shooting 3s, but more contested than they were. In the post-game, Capel noted he was 2 for 11 recently and that those first 2 3s were deflating (not the word he used). I think those 1st 2 3s shocked them. It shocked me, I was 1 minute late turning it on, saw we were down 6-0 and immediately had that "game over" type of feel.

I don't see how NC State is so far up the seed line for him either. Unfortunately he is the ESPN guy so he will get a lot of TV/social media coverage, but the selection committee doesn't care about one guy's opinions.

I obviously haven't paid as much attention to brackets the last 7 years, but I seem to recall Lunardi often changes things in his very last update. People have speculated he gets info fed to him by the committee on selection Sunday, so perhaps we should just hope this is the case again and he doesn't really know what he's talking about at the moment.

Good news is only 3 of the next 8 are still playing .

Clemson is in because even if lose to UVA (and I think they win), it will be close and their NET probably goes up. uVA loss will cost us our only Q1 home win unless Miami beats Duke and goes up to at least 30. NC State is probably in same shape as Pitt. Better metrics but only one Q1 win. They beat Duke at home by 24. They also beat Vandy. 7-10 Q1/2 Pitt is 7-9. Both Pitt and State won’t make it unless they both go to Dayton.

I agree with this but you know some posters on here say we lost to basically a NBA team which is crap are they better yes but they were the 4 seed and we were the 5 seed ,a very embarrassing loss ,we didn't show up
