One of my solid sources is hearing that Maliek will pick Pitt after his visits in the middle of October. That is fairly bold, so I will just say that Pitt seems to be the leader at the moment. Providence seems to be trailing slightly in second at the moment. The other two finalists, ODU and Georgia Tech, do not seem to be in play.
I will keep trying to reach him. I have called almost daily since he visited, and no luck. I have also reached out to the director of River City Reign. From what I can gather, Maliek basically ignores media requests. I am not going to stalk the kid, but I will continue to try to reach him for feedback. Regardless, sounds like Pitt is in good shape. I was a little surprised Cincinnati did not finish in the final four.
