The 1:00 commitment on a Monday afternoon is not a great time for me now. A little surprised it came this early, but always thought Pitt was one of the two teams at the top. When he left Virginia Tech out of his final five, I felt even better about it. I thought Maryland was right there as well, and Georgetown came on very strong this past weekend.
I am on the phone now with Corey for an article. We have written a couple of articles on him, and have talked about him on here a lot. He made the two unofficial visits and was always a priority for the staff. I love the fit. Solid post player that is built like some of Pitt's best players. Big butt and hips, with a unique build. Blair, Fields, and Jaron Brown all had that characteristic. Please don't think that I am comparing him to Dejuan. Just that feature about his body.
Corey is the type of kid that this program can live off of. He is on the high end of that really. Good hands, nice instincts, and good length. He needs to trim his weight and keep it there, but there is a lot to work with. He should be able to play a lot as a sophomore. That played a big part in it. He can come here and learn for a year behind Young, Artis, TBD, and then play a lot in his second year.
