Many coaches can replace Stallings

I was getting worried about the new hire. Took a step back and think that any coach making it to the NCAA round of 32 would probably work out. Naturally, some would be better than others, but IMO any of them would be a marked improvement over Stallings.

That said, some are out or reach and some toxic.

Many candidates not the board's "splash" list would likely be OK. There are only so many ACC openings. Pitt will end up with a good, maybe not great, coach.

My guess is that Oats, Willard, Schmidt, the Davidson coach, would work out if Hurley, Matta, etc. can't be had.
