Not trying to pick a fight and you may well be right but don't be shocked if they give Stallings a 3rd year. Looking at the program from the inside like we do that doesn't look likely. But I won't be surprised either way.

I really don't see any way stallings is back next season. The FBI investigation could hurt or help Pitt. If a lot big schools are on probation for multiple years, even more reason to fire stallings. The Pitt job would be a solid option for an up and comer that say a duke or somebody might have been interested in in a couple years.

I don't see why you people still want Sean Miller. (and by the way, he's still out on his own recognizance).
I didn't say I wanted Sean Miller. What I meant by "locked up" was do we already have our next coach hired behind the scenes?

I truly do hope talks/discussions have been taking place behind-the-scenes with at least the agent of the possible coach. Pitt and Lyke need to be out front in all of this. Pitt's season will be done in less than 2 weeks and we don't want to be left at the altar as the saying goes. Pitt has the $$$, seemingly no sanctions looming, plays in the ACC, academics, etc. The only downside is the job is a major rebuild now and it needs resurrection. Between acquiring top-flight players, getting the fans energized again and winning, it could be a tougher sell. The coach needs to be hungry, an avid recruiter and someone not afraid to some losing.

Like everyone on the board, I just want Pitt to be more than relevant again. I'm not saying winning the ACC next year or probably for years after that. But we can definitely be a top half ACC team in the next few years. It used to be a top 25 job earlier this decade.
