The Field of 68 has no peer for wire to wire drama and thrills. None.
The First Four game with MSU and UCLA was (IMHO) a stroke of genius as it showed that the Goliaths have the same row to hoe as the David’s.
Whether it is OHIO STATE handed its lunch by ORU or the classic last night in the best game in my lifetime, March Madness gives you everything. The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat (look it up younguns....).
As I have tried to teach my son....Winners and losers are not defined by the scoreboard. They are defined by their efforts.

Last night was an awesome game for sure, but you’ve definitely missed some even more terrific ones if that’s the best you’ve had a chance to see.

So tell me which game with more on the line have I missed that were better than last night?
I can’t wait for you to enlighten me.

The list is short. I’d say Nova’s buzzer beater to win it all over UNC was better.
That was a fantastic ending and a great game. But half court, OT tips the scales for me.
The poster said there were some better games. So far we have one contender and are a long way from “some”!

Well I guess it depends on how far back you want to go, but the Hill to Laettner, Duke - Kentucky Elite Eight game in 1992 would be on any short list. Both overtime games, but one difference being that Duke was losing when the ball left Laettner's hand so if he missed they were going home, as opposed to if Suggs had missed Gonzaga still had a chance to win.

Or how about Duke's huge upset over undefeated UNLV in the semi-finals in 91? Or if you want a kind of under the radar game, how about Michigan's one point win over Seton Hall in the 89 final? Seton Hall hits a late three and sends the game to overtime, then in overtime Michigan hits a couple late foul shots to take a one point lead and Seton Hall misses the potential game winner at the buzzer.

I'm sure there's a few more that people could come up with if they give it some thought. I'm not sure any of them beat Saturday's game, but there are others on the short list.

Sure...go back 30 years if you want. But if you are under 40 you probably have no memory of that game.
You gotta love Pittsburgh....the calendar is stuck somewhere 30 plus years ago.

Gonzaga/UCLA was an all-time classic but the 2 best games of all-time are Duke/Kentucky and Duke/UNLV.

So what you are saying is that you’ve definitely missed some even more terrific ones if that’s the best you’ve had a chance to see.

Wait a second....

You've gotta love people who think that if something didn't happen in the last 17 minutes that it probably just wasn't worth it.

30 years ago only equates to 17 minutes in the minds of a select few.
Gladly, I’m not one of them.
But it does prove my point that many Yinzers are living in the past, because by your standards if 30 years ago equals 17 minutes then 1960 is just a half an hour ago.
Maz leading off the bottom of the 9th...
It’s just like the old south where every boy was raised in the moments just before Pickett took his human sacrifice courtesy of R. E. Lee to the alter of infamy known as the high water mark.
Hint. Time has a way of moving on.
