I think we should beat UNC. We should win 5 matches for sure with 3 toss ups. We need to win at least one. 125,149,184.
Iowa st: we win at 125,133,141. Close wins at 197 & 285. Lose at149, 157(maybe close), 165(? Bonus), 174(close) &184. I see it at 5-5 so upsets and or bonus points make the difference.

Ive got an 18-13 win tonight and an 18-12 loss tomorrow. Just feel that Pitt is going to lose one of the swing matches tomorrow. Been winning so many of them that I feel a flip coming
That's quite possible. They've been wrestling well, but you're right, it's hard to win all of the tossups.

18 Wagner SV over 33 Camacho. 10-8. Very entertaining match but the NC wrestler definitely controlled the match after the 1st period.

O’Connor isn’t up for the Hodge for no reason, I think he got bonus points in 90%of his matches so far. Tough task for a true freshman
Didnt look like the weight cut did him any favors either. He usually looks more aggressive and physical. He kind of seemed listless

Kane 5-3 over Heller in probably the most entertaining match of the night. Great defense from Kane and no lack of effort from Heller.

Just caught up on DVR - although it ran out before Reece's match, which I see was a very good one.
Takeaways: Solid if not spectacular. I know everyone wants bonus, and there's no doubt Pitt wasted a couple of opportunities, but the reality is that this is Division I wrestling and winning is really difficult; getting bonus is incredibly difficult. Yes, it seems like guys ranked in the top 10 should be getting them over unranked guys, but at this point, the reality is Micky and Cole are not point-scoring machines. Appreciate them for what they are and take the three points in most dual meets.
Couldn't be happier for Luca Augustine. I've been waiting for a breakthrough folkstyle win, and tonight was it. It seems like every week he gets a tough draw and, other than last week, he's in it almost until the end. Great to see him knock off an All-American. If he keeps developing, he's going to be a stud.
Pitzer had his knee wrapped. I know he was a little banged up from last week's match. If it's a problem at all he won't wrestle tomorrow against Iowa State.
I had someone tell me it was an "ugly" win because they missed out on bonus opportunities. Winning seven of 10 bouts and a 10-point win to take sole possession of first place in the ACC? I'll take that kind of ugly any day.
On to Iowa State tomorrow!

Again good stuff Eric! Yeah, at this point as much as I ride Mickey and count of him to bonus his opponent its just not going to happen. It's not his style. Luca had a great win, I'm very happy for him as well. Lastly, count me in for "ugly wins."
Great match-so nice to finally beat UNC again. So happy for Luca to come back from last week's shellacking and beat the #8 wrestler! I have a question about O'Connor-is he always an a$$hole? I get he didn't get to wrestle Casto, but was it necessary to not shake hands with Pitt's coaches and to glare at them while tapping his wrist?
Luca's dad is my brothers good friend. Really good family.

Can't you add time, Eric? I always add two hours just to make sure for any game or match regardless of the sport. Two hours is way more than I ever need, but it's the mzximum amount of time available so I might as well take it. I learned to do this after having a few experiences like yours.
