It's just a shame how the whole thing worked out. He could have taken a big raise to stay at Pitt and continue the excellent work he did with the offense, the program would have much-needed continuity, Canada would have a better job, Pitt would have a better OC than it currently does, and Orgeron would have had to choose a different sacrificial lamb to scapegoat for his own incompetence. Instead, all parties are the worse for the situation, except maybe Maryland. I truly don't believe that anyone can ever succeed with that job though.
