Max Abmas enters transfer portal

He’s definitely high risk, high reward. Most pundits thought he needed to “move up” to prove himself against higher competition in order to be a first round pick. I saw him in person when Oral Roberts played in Kansas City this season; he is a phenomenal. Defense needs to improve, but his range will translate anywhere.
Again, I think he will be the biggest impact player from the portal for this offseason because I’m banking on him performing well against bigger opponents.
There’s no doubt he’s one of the elite players to enter the portal, and he will be able to pick his school.
Lj Cryer is in as well. 41 percent from 3. Cryer and Abmas will both get to pick any school in the country.
I dont know how coaches navigate this portal. It seems way more difficult than HS recruiting. HS guys, there's very few who can make a difference right away. There's probably 300 guys in the portal, maybe more, who could start or play a major role on Pitt next year. We will get some of them. It really comes down to coaching. A coaches ability to recruit doesn't matter nearly as much anymore. Its all NIL + real actual coaching. In the portal, you are always going to have good enough players for the most part, but you have to be able to coach them.
