I hope the coaches are working on his attitude in game. He makes a lot of borderline dirty plays. They aren't much to get your head in a spin over.... yet. But he is on the edge. I've watched it for a lot of games now. He flails arms and legs and creates contact well after a play is over. I know he wants to win but he needs to clean it up on the court. No need for that garbage.

Not a new thought just because he is playing in front of family. He is the same player today just not having a good game. Watch him close around the rim or after a whistle/made basket. He's hitting players with his legs/arms or after the play continuing into them with body contact.
After rereading your post I'm giving you a F in reading comprehension. At no point did I mention effort in tonight's game.
As long as the guys in the striped shirts aren’t blowing the whistle I would rather not change anything like that because it could screw up his entire game.

He thinks every game must be a 35 point night. I’d challenge him to get at least 3 assists a half. We had 1 assist as a team in the first half. That’s terrible.
This. I have been pointing out that he and X are players other teams fans will hate for a while now, and as long as they can get away with it I am perfectly fine with it.
Do you watch the games? The countless assists doled out that turned into blocked dunks, turnovers off stone hands, and endless missed 3's?

It was ugly...the kids seemed to rush everything, Trey especially. He needs to slow down a bit. Looked like they felt they had to match Clemson's shooting....at one point they were 8-10 from the arc. Very few teams could withstand that. Toney on the bench didn't help. It'll be fun watching these kids mature.
One benefit?? The NBA draft nonsense should stop. Ain't happening for a couple years.
I like the edge Trey plays with.........he and X will go down as two of the best players ever to play for Pitt before its all over..........
I hope you're right, but Trey is way behind X at this stage. Out of control half of the time. Trying to do it by himself. He'll be a challenge for Capel.....to get the best from him.
You’re kidding yourself if you think our lack of assists is all about not converting down low or hitting from outside. Certainly contributes but far from the only or most significant factors.
I would quit making the extra pass if it normally led to nothing but turnovers and broken rims. And we are mostly talking about freshmen. Freshman I have seen making the extra pass regularly this season when playing against lesser talents. This last stretch has been brutal. This will all work out with more experience & more talent, because we have good coaching.
Being young and inexperienced is his problem. He will be a great player and soon.

Yes he does. And I have seen him make a lot of extra passes that led to nothing but turnovers because of lack of talent. Appologies for the harshness of my original reply RJ.
